- Background
- Component of the cleavage factor Im(CFIm) complex that plays a key role in pre-mRNA 3'-processing. Involved in association with CPSF6 or CPSF7 in pre-MRNA 3'-end poly(A) site cleavage and poly(A) addition. NUDT21/CPSF5 binds to cleavage and polyadenylation RNA substrates. The homodimer mediates simultaneous sequence-specific recognition of two 5'-UGUA-3' elements within the pre-mRNA. Binds to, but does not hydrolyze mono-and di-adenosine nucleotides. May have a role in mRNA export.

At 2-8 °C unless the datasheet says otherwise. Do not freeze a kit that is not marked for freezing.
How long is an opened kit stable?
It depends on the component. The Kit Components table on this page lists the storage condition for each item after opening.
What should I do if the shipment arrives warm?
Photograph the package and contact us the same day. Do not use the kit until we have confirmed it is still within specification.

My background is too high. What should I check?
The usual causes are insufficient washing, contaminated buffers, or too much detection antibody. Our Protocol pages cover the full troubleshooting sequence.
Can I run fewer wells than the kit provides?
Yes. Dismountable microplates let you use part of a plate and reseal the rest with the desiccant supplied.
